17.4.1.1.1.3.1. Media Type

 

An important setting in the Print Mode section that will greatly affect the ink loading and colours in your prints, is the setting for the Media Type as shown below.

 

 

For majority of cases this setting will also dictate what ink configuration will be used by the printer. For example Matte Black ink for matte paper or canvas / fine art type paper or Photo Black ink for photographic type media.

 

You should select a media type from the list of available options that is the 'closest' to the media that you want to profile. Third party media manufacturers do also have their recommendations that should be followed.
